The January Jubilee begins tonight!
It’s time for jubilee…..that is the “January Jubilee” at The Free Gift Gospel Mission. Tonight is the night. Bro. Mike Owens will be preaching and The Lights For Christ will be singing. I assure you…..it won’t be boring! Gather your friends, family, and neighbors (both lost and saved) and head on over to 1025 Maple Street in Kingsport to praise the Good Lord with us. It would be a blessing to us for YOU to join us tonight, tomorrow night, and Saturday night. Services begin at 7:00p.m. nightly. Come praying and expecting GOD to move!

Don’t be conformed to this world.
In our day pernicious and loose morals seem to be the prevailing attitude. Not too many young people have moral virtues. They have long since lost their moral values, and they have sold themselves upon the alter of sensual lust and pleasure. Alot of young folks seem to take pride in their loose living. I want to beg of you today, young people, do not be conformed, patterned, or fashioned like this world.

Laughing at a drunk? Read this!
There was a time in my life when I thought it was funny to see someone imitate a drunk. Sometimes on television and sometimes in actuality a person good at mocking people will mock a drunk. He will pretend that he is drunk and go through all of the staggering and stuttering of a drunk. I used to think that was really funny, and there was a time in my life when I would laugh at it. But years ag…o the Lord changed my attitude. I have lived to see the ruin and ravage and the destruction and death that drunkeness causes. I say to you that a man who is a drunk ought not to be laughed at…..he ought to prayed for! Drunkeness is a terrible blight in America today, and nothing would thrill the Devil more than to cause the American people to joke and laugh about it instead of weeping and mourning because of the condition of 15 million American who are drunk at this very moment.
Proverbs 20:1- Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.

Seeking the Holy Ghost??? C’mon man!
Every once in awhile someone will approach me and say, “I was converted the other day and I am now seeking the Holy Ghost.” They will then request prayer that they might receive the Holy Ghost. May I say to you that if you are born again, you now have the Holy Ghost. If a man does not have the Holy Ghost, he is not of God. If you write to me and say you are now seeking the Holy Ghost, what you ought to say is, “I am a lost sinner and I need to get right with God,” because if you do not have the Holy Ghost you have never been saved. It is the Holy Ghost who gives birth to your soul into God’s family. There is no other way for a man to be born again except through the ministry of the Holy Ghost. So the Holy Ghost is given to every believer. There is not one single believer who does not have the Holy Ghost. Now you may not always be filled with the Holy Ghost or completely empowered as you could be by the Holy Ghost, but if you do not have the Holy Ghost you are not a believer…..you are not saved. If you are saved and you know that you are saved, then praise God, you have the Holy Ghost.
Romans 8:9b: NOW IF ANY MAN HAVE NOT THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST, HE IS NONE OF HIS.

The January Jubilee
Some may call me crazy, but the Good Lord has given me enough faith to believe that He can use this January Jubilee to impact a community in need of the gospel. I believe He will use these three nights of meetings to speak to many people, change many hearts, and draw folks closer to him. I believe we could see shackles of addiction broken, marriage relationships restored, and souls saved. After… all, it is my God who says, “I am the Lord and besides me there is none other.” He says, “Is there anything too hard for me?” Of course the answer is a resounding NO! NOTHING is too hard for Him! He is able to do exceeding and abundant above all that we will EVER be able to ask or think. Praise His holy name!
