Thursday, June 17

I’m loaded down with school work today.  I had to take the day off from work just to finish up everything that’s due tonight.  I’m so thankful for the grace of God and His strength that helps me from day to day.

Vacation was wonderful.  The kids had a good time and so did we.  Thanks to everyone who prayed for our safe return and offered well wishes, and thanks to Earl and Teresa Hulse for the great time we all spent together.

We will be having our first ever father/son breakfast at The Free Gift Gospel Mission this coming Saturday morning at 9:30a.m.  I’m very much looking forward to that.

Also, our missionary to Eastern Europe, Bro. Joe Alvarado and his family, will be visiting our church on Sunday  night, June 27th.  Bro. Joe will be ministering that evening.  I know Bro. Joe will not be returning to the mission field because of health issues, but he will continue to minister at the children home in Bristol.  Let’s continue to pray for the Alvarado family, and let them know we appreciate their service in doing the Lord’s work.

VBS will be coming to the Free Gift Gospel Mission very soon.  Our theme this year is Saddle Ridge Ranch.  VBS will begin on July 12 and go through July 16.  It will start at 7:00p.m. each night.  Bring your kids.  Bring your neighbors kids!  Bring all the kids you can bring!  I know VBS will be a great time this year.

We thank God for our radio ministry that is still going strong in our 7th year.  We have been doing much better about playing new broadcasts over the last couple of months (we’ve even made it to the studio for a couple of live broadcast which we haven’t been able to do in awhile), but during the time of our vacation we did have to play a few reruns.  We will try to get some new broadcasts out very soon.

Still be much in prayer for Justin Caudill as he recovers from a bad car accident.  God has brought him a long way, but he still needs the prayers of those who love him.

Thats about all I can think of to say for now.  It’s off to finish this mass of school work.  Til next time remember that our God is rich in mercy.  Let’s be very thankful for that.

Love In Christ,

Bro. Vern Hall
