Val Doris Ann (Bowlin Reynolds) Johnson
Mt Carmel – Val Doris Ann (Bowlin Reynolds) Johnson, 71 of Mt Carmel, took up her robe and crown with the Lord on Saturday morning, March 31, 2012 at Holston Valley Medical Center. She was born on January 30, 1941 and was a life long resident of Hawkins County. She was a 1959 graduate of Church Hill High School. Val Doris was a wonderful mother, grandmother, an accomplished seamstress, musician and floral designer. She loved the Bible, her family, friends, music, history and genealogy. She was employed at White’s Floral in Kingsport. She attended Free Gift Gospel Mission.She was preceded in death by her parents, Boyd and Edith; brothers, Lonnie and Charles; spouses, Pat and Frank and many other family members and friends.Val Doris is survived by her sons, Patrick Reynolds and wife Tammy, Quentin Reynolds and wife Adonia; brother, Fred and wife Ann; niece, Andrea; step-children, Kathy and husband Ralph, John, Suzie and Gary; 12 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; including her 71st birthday gift, Abbigail Lynn Rylie Reynolds.The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 1115 Hwy 11W, Church Hill. Friends may also call anytime at the home of her son, Patrick

A funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Vern Hall officiating.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Church Hill Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:55 a.m.
