After more than 9 years as a pastor, 13 years as a preacher and 15 years as a Christian, there are some things I believe more strongly now than I did years ago. One of those things is the faithfulness of God. I have absolutely no doubt at all that we serve a God who is faithful to take care of His people, and He is faithful to keep His word. In a world that is constantly changing, our God never changes. He is evermore the same, yesterday, today, and forever. He was faithful years ago, and He is still faithful today. Consider these verses:
Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised; And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. (Hebrews 10:23-25)
We live in a world of broken promises, but we’ll never have to worry about God breaking a promise. He will keep every promise He has ever made because He is faithful. As a matter of fact, God is so faithful that everyone who seeks him will find Him. So as you exercise faith you must trust Him even though you can’t see Him. He has His ways to let you know He is there.
